Hello Lola!

Sharing a few photos from the day my sweet baby Lola was born! I can’t believe she is already almost a month old… time goes by too fast :( I posted a labor and delivery vlog, but i’ll also recap here in case anyone missed it!

I was 37 weeks and 6 days pregnant and supposed to be at an LG photoshoot all day. The office is an hour away so I was nervous to be so far from home because I was having a few contractions but they weren’t regular or painful. I got halfway there and decided to turn around just to be safe because my contractions were getting a little more consistent! My first labor was really quick so I wanted to go get checked to confirm I wasn’t in labor so that I wasn’t stressed. My sister had left town that day and my bff Lauren was also out of town so we called our other friends who live close to come and watch Cove while I went to get monitored at the hospital. I was so sure I wasn’t in labor and we would be going home!

I was slowly progressing so they admitted me because I needed antibiotics for 4 hours before delivery so they started those and I think I was dilated to a 5 or a 6. After a couple hours my water broke and I got the epidural. My mom had come down to be with Cove so she wasn’t in the room this time. I was planning to have our friends go back over to our house to watch her while my mom came to the hospital when I was actually pushing but things happened too fast and I went from an 8 to a 10 really quickly! Lola ended up being sunny side up so I felt a lot more pressure and pain than with my first delivery. I pushed for about 25 minutes and she was born at 4:03 pm on September 30th! She was 7 pounds 2 oz which seems sooo big for being more than 2 weeks early!! We stayed for 24 hours and then headed home because we were ready to get back and see Cove meet her baby sis.

Lola has been a sweet angel baby so far and i’m so happy she is here and healthy!! Recovery has been going well and we have been enjoying taking some time off and adjusting to life as a family of 4!
